Suspension » Track Rod-Ends
These essential components are often neglected at a low level of modification. As mentioned in the suspension overview there is little point putting in new coilovers with faulty steering! We recommend your local motor factor for standard replacments. We sell Motorsport "Rose" type spherical bearing types kits below.
In addition to replacing the rod-end it is important to ensure it is not being overly stressed by any other suspension modifications. For instance by lowering the ride height too much and hitting a bump the rod end may snap if the car doesn’t reach the bump stop first. This clearly would be highly dangerous so always check this when you are setting up the suspension - you can do this by removing the spring and checking the range of motion of the suspension with the car off the ground. If you are going to the trouble of setting up corner weights then you will probably want to dial out bump steer as well. By using a rose jointed track-rod end shims can be inserted to change the height of the steering arm. This usually provides enough adjustment to dial out bump steer. Remember we can provide a geometry set-up service. Please call for any further information.
