EBC DISCS (& DRUMS) - REAR

Welcome to our new EBC REAR Disc shop. We've had a lot experience of a lot of different makes of disc over the past few years. To date we feel EBC offer the best quality castings at the best price in the UK today. More expensive than many makes, this is due to the quality of the raw material and the casting process. Remember this is a UK made product and its quality is reflected in its price. You may see cheaper discs but if you are sacrificing material quality then this is poor value for money. Remember many name brand discs in the UK are simply cheap imported blanks that are machined to suit. We list EBC Plain, TGD "Turbogroove" (the best performance). Ultimax are available as a no cost option - simply order TGD Turbogroove and put "Ultimax" in the other information field on the order form. We don't sell many Ultimax discs though as we recommend TGD "Turbogroove" for performance and Plain for performance with value.

Quality and Run Out - why it's important

so many people say so many things about different makes of discs and quality. I'd like to know how many of them actually check runout each time they install a disc. Recently installing a set of EBC discs initially, even with hub cleaning as much as 0.1mm run out was seen. Within limits but far from ideal. However with even more rigorous hub cleaning and reseat the figure cam down to just 0.015mm. This shows not only the quality of the EBC product but also why it is vital to check run out.
