Impossible to have your cake and eat it?  Well try to ignore a lot of the bad press Ethanol has been receiving of late. This is largely a lot of spin by the oil companies. For example in Brazil a recent article in the magazine "CAR" showed that far from BioEthanol causing deforestation the closest any of the bio ethanol production got to the rainforest was 1500 miles. It seems to us that a lot of the negative press is being driven by oil companies. Of course there are exceptions to the rule in the United States the corn-based bio ethanol is fairly inefficient and takesa lot of fossil fuel to produce. However exciting times are ahead, in the UK we are on the verge of efficientand effective production of bio ethanol using waste material. 

BioEthanol has to be responsbily phased in using sustainable low CO2 supplies which do not impact on food production. It's not a "quick fix" it is a long term viable fuel source we just have to adapt over a period of time.

However, right now, for road or race use E85 and BioEthanol offer exciting prospects.
